I saw on your Tumblr about your *ahem* period. Do you need to make it so over the top Puffy x3? It is not THAT bad is it? I know this question coming from a man says that I am stupid and sexist. But my teacher in high school did teach the class something about the menstrual chicle. I know that a period is when the uterus wall breaks of flesh and thus causes bleeding. I understand it must sting. Did I get any of that right?
The uterus break off flesh? Da buck dude? Seriously?

It’s called menstruation blood purely because of the colour, but as said
the actual blood amount is minimal.
Same for ‘breaking off flesh’. If a woman really broke flesh every time she had a period she be dead.
It’s just a system for the body to flush out unused eggs with slime produced for the purpose.
The actual problems a woman suffer from it is the cramps. Which is the pain coming from the muscles pushing that slime out. No one can explain why they have to be done through pain, just as why the amount of pain differs A LOT from woman to woman. Some barely feels it, while others got them so bad they are literally crippled through the process. Just like some women actual bleed with more blood than most which can be dangerous. But luckily a rare condition.
The other issues come as side effects from the growth in hormone levels this causes. It messes you up. Makes you moody, although the moodiness is also a side effect to the side effects. You would be moody too if you were in pain, couldn’t sleep, sore in your chest, cramping up, getting your underwear and bedsheets ruined, feel you stink even though only you are aware of the distinguished smell, you either got diarrhea or constipation or both, you lose your appetite yet you feel a constant sugar craving, you get heat waves, you’re too cold, you get gassy, and that’s just to mention some of the stuff.
Mostly you’re lucky enough to not go through
ALL the symptoms every time, but it’s still hella of an inconvenience
and you KNOW it comes you just have to deal with it. You still have to
work and do your daily chores despite pain and discomfort.
I’m a heavy flow too, I haven’t used a regular pad in years. I have to use the heavy night pads for daily use, just one step from actually wearing a diaper, or I’ll bleed right through and ruin my pants.
so don’t go “Do you need to make it so over the top?” to a woman on her freaking period, dude! It’s okay to admit you don’t know what’s going on and try to educate yourself. But beware… women get moody FOR A REASON.
