There’s two kinds of accuracy in map making. Accurate size or accurate shape. You can’t really have both, unfortunately, due to the problems of depicting a sphere as a flat surface.
This one looks like it gets the size right but has to sacrifice some of the shape accuracy to do so. Look at Brazil and Alaska. They’re very distorted.
