Platypuses are often seen as goofy due to the fact that they’re fuzzy, duck-billed, egg-laying mammals, but in reality they can be pretty vicious. Male platypuses have venomous barbed hooks on their rear feet. If you happen to get speared by one, you’ll have to yank it out while suffering a pain so intense, not even morphine will dull it.
