Really good tips for drawing/seeing pretty conformation! Not all horses have pretty conformation, though, so if you goof up don’t get too sad. 

A whole bunch of the horses I know are croup high, and a few have steep shoulders, and the opposite flaws exist, too.

Yeah! I should have prefaced this with more info! This is a very simple and cutesy “ideal” conformation guide. Horses vary greatly, and certain breeds have different capabilities and will deviate physically from this standard. I use this info to draw horses that look more like horses, and it gives me the knowledge to put more character into drawings, by going outside the box and pushing certain features!
