I know exactly how you feel. Especially in the food industry so many people want hand outs if one little thing isn’t perfect. Hell i’ve had a table return a shrimp basket because it had shrimp in it.

my first job was food service

the most memorable moment was when a woman asked for a turkey sandwich, and i asked if she meant our cold sandwich or the panini since they are similar except a few things and that the panini is heated

she kept insisting it was the panini so i rang her up for the panini 

she got her sandwich and cut in front of the line to complain that it was not what she ordered at all, that she wanted something else because she was never told it would be heated on the press

so we remade her entire meal how she wanted it, AND gave a refund

The only bad thing that has happened to me when ordering food was. When my food order was completely wrong. I ordered a double meat burger. Double cheese, Ketchup, mustard, pickles and avocado. I got a burger with a torn patty, 1 cheese and avocado spread all over the paper and not in the burger like…literally it was so confusing cause how can you mess up that bad. the torn patty i get but the avocado on the paper?????

Back when I worked at jimmy johns one customer was yelling at us because we wouldn’t use our bread ovens to heat up his sandwich. We cannot nor could we ever use our ovens to heat sanwiches, they are solely for baking the bread. The guy insisted jimmy johns does hot sandwhiches and our manager told him “if you want a hot sandwich, go to firehouse. Because we don’t have any”
