Did superwholock lose popularity or did I just cut the right people out of my life

It lost popularity due to several small reasons adding up. With shows like steven universe giving people LGBT characters in canon, the fandoms didn’t have to hang onto moffats queerbaiting and the majority of the fandom was severely disappointed in 11 regenerating into 12 due to how anticlimactic it was, not to mention clara herself is a weak character. And one major factor was also dashcon. After that fiasco, a significant amount of superwholock realized how shitty they were as fans and stopped being what people expect from superwholock.

So yeah the three factors that lead to the death of superwholock are better shows coming out and delivering on LGBT characters, people realizing how shitty moffats writing was and dashcon.

I think that counts for most of the fandoms. Theyre out there, but not as much as they used to.
