I find it easy to forget that my Fallout 4 character was around in the pre-war Fallout universe.
Usually a lot of humour comes from people, including the main character, completely misinterpreting pre-war society. Elvis was worshipped as a god by his impersonators, stuff like that. A bit of that humour is lost when my character goes “um, actually, baseball bats were *not* used for murdering.”
Makes you wonder how all those myths even came to be when so many characters in Fallout (robots, pre-war ghouls, intelligent super mutants) were around before the war.
Listen, if you were centuries old and nearly immortal and someone asked you who the Jostars were, would YOU tell them the truth or would you make them seem like mythical figures who really existed?
…. Are you implying that all the pre-war ghouls, etcetera are just taking the piss? Because that’s hilarious and I will immediately accept it as canon.
