about a month ago i thought that one of these days, steven was gonna blow up at garnet for still hiding things, and here we are. steven’s not just growing up in the learning sense, he’s also growing up in the teenager sense. he’s becoming more counter-dependent: he knows his guardians care about him, but their word is not law. he’s too old for that. he needs to find out the truth, and the crystal gems need to stop sheltering him.
