How in the name of anything is that humane.

That’s… literally how all live traps work, dude. They have not yet invented traps that teleport the mice away. Even lethal traps need to be checked often so you don’t have mouse corpses rotting under your cabinet.

The only alternative is just letting mice infest your house and doing nothing about it.
