When Laura Muir won a 1500m gold medal, she wasn’t allowed a victory lap. Though customary when a runner wins the gold, a European Indoor Athletics Championships official blocked Laura’s attempt because there ‘wasn’t enough time.’ Once she realized no one would be able to catch her, she took off, ran a victory lap, and nobody caught her- even though she stopped to high five the crowd along the way.
