At one point during The Darkness, the player character is shown relaxing with their romantic interest. During this time, the player can watch the full 1962 film To Kill a Mockingbird, with their love interest shifting and making small comments throughout. They can end this section at any time with the push of a button, but by providing this level of passive interaction, the player is able to become deeply immersed in the relationship being presented, as they observe and participate in a small, tender moment shared between two people.

yup! they compressed the movie a lot to get it to fit, but it looks surprisingly decent. there’s even an achievement (called “Romantic”) for watching the movie until your girlfriend falls asleep
