Futurama was a gift we didn’t deserve.

HELP

I actually really love their relationship.

Like, Fry basically falls in love at first sight, she rejects him, and he accepts that and becomes her friend.

Sure, he’s open about being in love with her, but as far as I remember he never tries to sabotage her relationships, except the one that turns out to be himself from a parallel future, and the closest he comes to actually sabotaging that is stealing a pen.

And he recognises he isn’t good enough for her, and he improves himself.

He tries to be smarter, more caring, braver.

And he doesn’t trick her into dating him or marrying him or any other trope that’s so often used in sitcoms.

And when they do end up together, it feels natural because they’ve spent, what, 5 or 6 years as platonic friends.

This episode had me crying like a baby this was and is one of my favorite shows and fry will always be my favorite i was so sad when it ended but so happy the way it did :)
