Every few years I wonder I never watched Ben10 as a kid even though it appeals to a bunch of tropes i like (child superheroes, alien biology, transformation, sci-fi, etc) so i sit down to watch it, and then never even make it all the way through the first episode because the character dynamics are THE WORST. The two kids, Ben and his cousin?? THEY NEVER STOP BICKERING….

Anyways somewhere in the multiverse there is a Jay who could stand these bickering children long enough to watch all of Ben10, and is now feverishly redesigning every alien on the show

yeah, it’s not until gwen gets magical powers, like straight up magic (that turns out to be psychic alien powers) that she starts getting along with ben

  7. cylon-toast said: I just started watching it again. I watched a few episodes as a kid and I do remember them getting along, and Gwen even gets magical powers so she can help out instead of being boring on the sidelines.
