I’ve told the people I’ve cut off that I’ll speak to them again when they apologize to me directly and admit they were wrong. I don’t think that’s a high bar to pass. If they feel differently, that’s not my responsibility.

How are you going to see close friends and family literally cut ties with you and still think you’re in the right

It ain’t about voting Republican. It’s voting for someone who ran a platform of most groups being shit and deserving of shit treatment. Once y’all can understand and acknowledge that, maybe you’ll get your friends and family back.

Absolutely no sympathy

It’s almost like demonstrating through your actions that you don’t care about people who are being murdered and terrorized on a daily basis will cause you to lose some friends.

The thing is, you know their friends and family had been putting up with their shit and making excuses for them for years before it got to this point. “My gay son cut me off over this :(” nah, you’d been hurting him all his life and this was the final straw.

I cut off someone who wasn’t a close friend (her earlier posts had laid the groundwork) and she has whined to pretty much everyone we know about it. The weird thing? I am literally the opposite of everything she now claims to think of as “normal and American” but she’s apparently heartbroken. I guess I was supposed to be glad to be the exception. NOPE.
