From what I understand the discourse comes from a character being involved with a cult but the shit part is that you didn’t see people calling mystic messenger problematic for having characters who have cult connections. I personally think the people calling the devs shit were just looking for any excuse to shit on an it either because it’s lgbt or because it had a lot of hype around it.
