Oh for crying out loud! I can’t believe I have to point this out again.
This character was never meant to be a representation of a brony on the show. Nor was he ever named “Broni Friendzoni” (to my knowledge he doesn’t have an official name, though some fans have called him Sourpuss). The context in episode is that Rarity is in the city of Manehattan singing a song about generosity and bumps into a rather grumpy pony (that’s why he has Grumpy Cat as a cutiemark).
Rarity wanting to brighten his mood gives him a flower.
And it works.
Rarity didn’t judge him by his appearance or make fun of him. She instead gave him something to brighten his day and make him feel happy.
Something I wish people on this website would do more often.
