Representation is so important.

As a hetero cis white guy in America, pretty much everything in popular media caters to people like me, so I just took representation for granted.

It makes me so happy to see that people who are not like me are finally getting an opportunity to experience the same kind of representation in games and other media that I have had the privilege to take for granted my entire life. It’s long overdue.

I just played this game and really recommend it!!!

(Ended up playing with a character who wore a binder and headcanoned that he was AMAB but still needed one, but his AFAB husband didn’t)

Also Damien had already rapidly become my favorite (though not the one I chose because it didn’t feel in-character :c) and I was just thrilled when I hit the binder line!!

Dream daddy is made by game grumps, notorious racists and arin specifically supports numerous pedophiles, not to mention the game is homophobic and transphobic like?

Except it’s not?

The game has some of the healthiest representation I’ve ever seen, not to mention that it was a) not produced exclusively by Game Grumps and b) they aren’t getting most of the profits from it???

Also, can I see some supporting evidence on your comments? Given what I’ve seen of the game grumps, they don’t seem like particularly racist people (except JonTron, and he’s not part of them anymore for basically that very reason).

As much as I despise getting into Discourse™ on this hellsite, I do feel that a lot of people are ascribing a great many negative traits to the game that it doesn’t actually have, largely based on simple misinformation.
