i see people in the tags commenting on the symbol painted on the first dog saying it is nazi, so i am copying and pasting my response to a related ask onto here:

its a hindu/buddhist swastika, not a nazi hakenkreuz

the swastika is an ancient religious symbol rooted in buddhism, hinduism, and jainism, and is a sacred icon for a variety of things depending on which religion youre talking about, such as luck. unfortunately the nazi’s butchered the symbol and made it a stamp for racism and white supremacy (their’s is tilted, technically, but many people dont realize there is a specific orientation for the symbol to be nazi hakenkreuz), but the icon itself predates nazi ideology by thousands of years, and still has sacred meaning across east and southeast asia today, where religions such as buddhism and hinduism are still very common and make up a good majority. the west is more familiar with the nazi depiction of the symbol, since eastern religions are seldom acknowledged here and when they are are often deemed “mythologies” and not true religions. not to mention the west has more nazis than it does hindus or buddhists, rather sadly.
