He never even discovered America, he enslaved and killed Natives, thought he was superior. He doesn’t deserve to be honored anywhere
he never even landed in the US. He landed in the Caribbean and never even set foot on the mainland of north america. Not to mention, he wasn’t even the first to discover it. vikings found the americas AND ACTUALLY WALKED ON THE NORTH AMERICAN MAINLAND long before Columbus even wanted to make a new trade rout with india
