“IT” is not a clown! “Pennywise the Dancing Clown” is not It’s true breed. Rather, It is a shapeshifter! These are only distantly related to clowns, which explains why they can share some of the same traits and behaviors. True clowns, while still dangerous, are not violent unless provoked, like with any other animal.

That being said, it’s still not wise to approach a wild clown. If you find a clown or colony in the sewer, please contact your local Clown Control to have them relocated.

I’m just worried that the film’s popularity is going to lead to people adopting game clown/dancing clown crosses for the cool factor without understanding the heavy prey drive and clown-aggression issued that can crop up in those breeds.

Dont forget the health problems caused by selective breeding clowns that resemble the IT clown. The clown from IT had large teeth which were CGI into the movie. On a real clown, it prevents proper breathing and can interfere with eating. a clown that is bred to resemble the clown from IT would have several health problems and need special care and even then, they would only life like half the life of a healthy clown.
