This is something I always wondered about Monsters Inc. growing up. I know that it’s not necessary for us to check in on Boo’s parents in the movie (in fact if they did do that it would be pretty unfocused), but I couldn’t help but ask myself “Did they notice Boo was gone?”, “Did they call the police”, “Did they not notice she was gone?”, “Does time in the monster world pass differently from the human world? Like one day in the monster world is one hour in the human one?”. It’s not something I necessary needed to know, but I still thought about it.

i always assumed monsters were fae and time passed differently
