What I’m trying to say is they’re saying she was the first LGBT astronaut not the first lesbian because it means she was there before any gay, bi or trans astronaut. Idk why you’re so upset about this

saying lgbt instead of lesbian isn’t erasing anything about her bc the context of the sentence implies that she’s the first astronaut who’s not cishet, therefore everyone before her was. it’s a bigger meaning that conveys a lot more information that wouldn’t be conveyed by just saying she was the first lesbian.
