I brought something up similar to this to my boyfriend, who is first generation Vietnamese, I asked him how come making fun of asian accents is so widely accepted? Where did it even start? I brought up this phrase “me so horny” and things like “i love you long time’ he told me those lines came from east Asian prostitutes in popular movies, and people rolled with it cos it was “funny”. I’m so tired of this? I’m so tired how acceptable this is?? so not only is it racist but it’s also anti-sex worker which is. alot. all in all, fuck those guys.
