Just a little context: We’re playing 5e and were in a volcano looking for some armor that will make or sorcerer not as squishy. We split up to try and flank a group of six nightmares, the flaming horses. Our sorcerer, Naga, got cornered and was attempting to fight one by himself.

Naga: I’m gonna cast chromatic orb in a first level slot and do cold damage. That should work right? It’s made of fire.

Me OOC: No it’s made of horse.
