I don’t understand how Disney can look at the devout following of the KOTOR games and the massive success of RPGs like Elder Scrolls and Fallout and not immediately greenlight another Star Wars RPG.

Didn’t Disney make it a point to de-canonize the extended universe?

I’m not saying to continue the KOTOR series. But they should make a new RPG that takes place in the new canon.

I’m guessing in that case they assume KOTOR fans will just shun it for not being KOTOR, and Disney doesn’t have enough faith in the possibility of attracting a new audience to go ahead anyway.

RPGs are kinda niche these days so it makes sense for them to put their money behind a more mainstream genre like shooters with Battlefront instead.

the irony is that it seems like disney wants KOTOR to be canon or at least have influence in the new trilogy, mostly with the similarities between kylo and revan
