It’s almost as if they want poor people to have a decent quality of life or something

Oh no, how awful that us on the left prefer that our taxes are spent on ensuring a better quality of life for people than funding a military industrial complex or lining the pockets of people that are already wealthy beyond imagination.

Real talk here lads.  I am a disabled person living in Scotland and if it hadn’t been for our empathetic HUMANE government I would be dead.  Pure and simple.  I need to take 4 pills a day to survive.  Now if I was paying for this I would be fucked, but my free prescriptions mean I can refill these when I need to and that means I haven’t killed myself yet.  Benefits are not a comfortable way to live, no sir, but with these things the govt provides for free I at least feel like they don’t actively want me to die.  I am short sighted, free sight tests and a glasses voucher means I’m not going hungry to afford essential eye care. I have a bus pass as well - disabled people are given them too in Scotland - and it allows me to go and see my family or friends or get to hospital and psychiatry appointments without worrying constantly about how I will pay for transport.  These things help me maintain some form of independence and that is worth more than gold.  So yeah the author of that paragraph in the image?  I honestly hope love for anyone who writes such freaking SHITE as this to be forced to live a month in the life of someone like me. My life is awful, but the left is keeping me alive.
