people ABSOLUTELY overblow how “bad” homestuck was. Say whatever you want about the fandom but the actual webcomic was amazing and practically defined itself as its own fucking genre. It created a storytelling medium we couldn’t have even fucking imagined, it spanned from deviantart to vine for gods sake, who could have imagined using fucking deviantart as a medium to tell the story of a webcomic? It’s one of the biggest works in the English language and spiraled into this status from a shitty little user command comic years ago.

This and there are SO many layers to anything and so much thought on it and it’s fun and creative and full of fucking great characters? I could write a 100 pages essay on analizing homestuck in generic words which is not something i can say about the vast majority of any else work of fiction. I understand people mostly joke about how bad it was but it got an old and boring meme and i dont even know what to say to those who genuinely believe it was bad.

It’s all tied into the bullshit culture of hating what you loved and “cringe culture”.
