off topic as hell but why do you think asgore and toriel didn’t share a room in New Home when they were together? from a game making perspective it makes sense as both homes had to be almost the same and a bigger bed/multiple beds would be confusing when she’s single

but in universe? the only conclusion i can make is that… they’re simply Too Big to share the same bed. maybe asgore snores and toriel felt the need to have her own room. let’s discuss

TRAGIC but i believe ingame it was stated they only broke up when he declared war? (unless that’s fanon, dear god i need help remembering)

alternative theory: it’s the bathroom? we know they had one (or so i’d hope) and there isn’t really room when you compare the homes side by side they don’t match up, there’s not enough room, but there’s enough for a small bathroom? i’d feel that makes the most sense.

asgore is a big guy. the reason king sized mattresses are king sized is because they fit exactly one (boss monster) king.

I think it’s not unusual for married couples to sleep in separate rooms for one reason or another - anything from snoring to differing sleep schedules to just wanting their own rooms. Moreover other areas in the game are shown to have fudged proportional relationships; I think they’re exactly what they’re implied to be.
