If you meant Marsha P. Johnson, she participated later in the first night and over the course of 5 days, but the mythology around her actions started on Tumblr about 5 years ago. David Carter has an excellent book with firsthand eyewitness accounts of the uprising.

@johnmed Intersex people aren’t LGBT because intersex is a matter of disability and chronic illness activism, not identity. We stand in solidarity with each other and many of us are also same-sex attracted or transgender, but intersex is not LGBT. Nor have I ever heard any gay person say straights accept us, but this post was a strawman argument anyway.
