“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”
Militia: a part of the organized armed forces of a country liable to call only in emergency
Regulated: to bring order, method, or uniformity to
Amendment: the process of altering or amending a law or document (such as a constitution) by parliamentary or constitutional procedure
Now will you please shut the hell up about what you think your right to bear arms means
It doesn’t mean you get to own undocumented assault rifles for “home defense.”
It means you can own a gun IF you are a member of an ORGANIZED emergency military force.
Also amendments are not supposed to be never changing doctrine. The constitution NEEDS to change with the times. THAT IS WHAT AMENDMENTS ARE FOR
