My players have been tasked by a minor noble to find his daughter, who went missing. In my setting, an explosion of magic a few years ago caused people to take on physiological traits of various animals (darkvision, better smell, hollow bones, stuff like that). This noble is from the city Altairia, home to an elven-like culture of bird-like people.

Noble: Please, find my daughter. She’s all I have left…I couldn’t bear to lose her too.

Rogue: Oh? What happened to your wife?

Noble: She passed away when Lilya was but a child - an illness. I miss her dearly.
