to clarify i love problematic characters bc they’re fictional and interesting but snape fans act like everything he did was good and justified and i’m like??? no??? he was a magic nazi. he was gross and orchestrated a murder. if you’re going to like him, like him for being a greasy weirdo, not bc he’s “lily’s true love” or some shit

like not only is he 1000% a  villain hes not even a tragic villain for some reason people like to think he is, his tragic backstory was “was bullied in highshool(for being a wizard nazi)” and “a girl he had a crush on in highschool and never liked him back died, at the hands of the guy he worked for and supported” literally both of those things would have been avoided if he wasent a fucking wizard nazi

…except he explicitly wasn’t bullied because he was a ‘wizard nazi’, which sirius admits, they bullied him and other students for no reason, because they suck. and that’s only half of his backstory, the other being his familial abuse, which harry empathises with, and where he was probably taught his bigotry. and the point was that he redeemed himself for his past DE action and opposed muggleborn bigotry and protected others, dying to save the wizarding world, which harry acknowledges and respects

Anyone with a minimum IQ knows Snape is a GREY CHARACTER. You can’t process grey characters it seems you monkey.

He was bullied because he simply “existed” as your precious James fucking Potter stated when Lily asked the reason. He was bullied because he was different, not attractive (I WONDER WHY PEOPLE FIND SNAPE GROSS), Slytherin and so on. They picked up on him because they were PATHETIC bullies.

If you even think teen Snape deserved to be bullied for choices he didn’t EVEN MAKE back then, you SUCK big time and deserves a bullet in your face.
