A lot of people are theorising that Noodle’s “friend” depicted in the beautiful new art is Ace, leader of The Gangreen Gang from the amazing show, The Powerpuff Girls. 

It makes a lot of sense, seeing as Craig McCracken and Jamie Hewlett are pretty good friends and have referenced each other’s works a few times! Damon Albarn’s favourite cartoon character is also Mojo Jojo, AND Noodle’s favourite show when she was a kid was The Powerpuff Girls (and here she does look super happy)!!

Recently Jamie has posted a clip of Ace from the show on his Instagram, and his son, Denholm, has shared a picture of Mojo Jojo in his Instagram story!

Who knows? It’s pretty mysterious, crazy, and super exciting!!!!

so is murdoc like a lost member of the gangreen gang? it would make sense for that aweful pickle man
