iframes were very popular back then, but sadly nowadays iframes aren’t very useful…you can’t roll into a car and take no damage, tested it…apparently you also can’t iframe roll status effect inducing spells (like depression and dysphoria) in this era.

The Enlightenment patch back in the 18th century pretty much killed close range builds. People tend to attribute this to the meta shifting focus to firearms, but intelligence and faith builds were just becoming way more popular regardless. Eventually iframes were removed altogether as they were considered antiquated, however the adjustment was very tumultuous as its effects were clearly visible in the high casualty rate of the American Civil War.
