Do you ever think about how much gendered grooming expectations exist to exaggerate sexual dimorphism in humans(which is much much more subtle than a lot of other animals) ? All the little grooming things- hair and make up and shaving and nails and clothing, all serve the function of strangers being able to guess your gender from a distance?
