tbh i think a lot of straight people being ‘clueless’ are just them adamantly denying gay people exist
i’ll never forget that woman who went to buy a bed with her wife and the saleswoman would not accept they were lesbians even when they said ‘we’re married’ the saleswoman had a pained look on her face and asked ‘friend-married?’ they’re not clueless or stupid they’re just monsters
