Imagining the Bonds between Taako, Magnus, and Merle constantly pulling them together before they finally “officially” meet in that bar. Just random hapinstances that they don’t even notice or remember.

Just many little “so close yet so far moments” being extremely frustrating for a universe trying to push them together
at one point theyre all in neverwinter. Taako is looking into a shops window. His back facing the streets and his big hat is obscuring his face. Magnus walks past him trying to read a map and doesnt notice. Merle walks past him at the same time holding a large shrubbery. he accidentally bumps into magnus and without looking is like “oops, sorry” and magnust doesnt even notice.
