You know, one of the amazing things about picking Bulbasaur is that it was probably based on instinct or something more special!

You see, in a world where Charizard and Blastoise were plastered into everything. We had Pokemon Red and Blue but no Green. Charizard took up a big chunk of the anime and Blastoise was that guy who always there because it was Charizard’s arch-enemy. 

but what about Venusaur? it wasn’t as advertised or pushed like the other Pokemon, and it was even overshadowed even further by Pokemon Yellow and Pikachu, but yet there are we who despite all of that who chose Bulbasaur.

We didn’t pick Bulbasaur because of the game’s cover mascot or color, we didn’t care that Bulbasaur didn’t breath fire or had wings, we didn’t care that it had no cannons, we didn’t care if it the worse typing, we just picked Bulbasaur out of LOVE. We saw something in it that no one other did. Kids are easily attracted to what’s cool and that why Charizard easily won every child’s heart, but we saw something special in Bulbasaur that no advertisement made us do, we believed in Bulbasaur, we believed in its potential, and look at us now, we never regretted that decision, and Bulbasaur is probably eternally grateful for the chance that even its creators never tried to give.

Picking Bulbasaur was a highlight moment in our life. We got bullied, we got harassed, people made fun of us and some insulted us online because of Bulbasaur, but we kept sticking to OUR CHOICE and to our starter and to what we heartedly believed in!

I think looking at it now, picking Bulbasaur was a special thing, it made us live differently, and it’s even crazy that we sometimes defend him like it’s our own child.

I Love Bulbasaur and there’s nothing will change that.
