Pro-tip: If you’re struggling with a scene in your writing because it doesn’t fit quite right, cut it. Just… cut it. Delete it. Get rid of it. Maybe save it somewhere else if you’re too anxious to delete it, but get it out of your story and get it far away from you. Rewrite it if it’s vital, but I promise you that nine times out of ten, you’ll find that the story reads much better without it.
