Could hormones be used for a werewolf transformation?

As in if a werewolf bite you didn’t text you with special kind of hormone that makes you change into one of those.

I don’t know much about hormones aside what I seen for transgender people so I thought I’d ask.

I can’t really think of any other biological thing that would affect the change so drastically aside maybe leprosy or something.

So how would a transformation be possible? Or is it just one of those “This shouldn’t be possible, and yet there it is!” kinda things?

My guess is that the DNA from the bite enters your blood. Since the DNA is part of them, and they are cused, you are now cursed.

That doesn’t really explain anything scientifically. The magic DNA is now in the victim?

A Virus can rewrite a persons DNA in fact that’s how viruses spread they rewrite the dna of your cells to make more virus until the explode and then infect other cells, you could have a virus that infects cells but rather than destroying the host it just edits the DNA into werewolf dna, so werewolf could be spread by all kinds of means, any way a virus can spread so could werewolf.

if you want to know more about this, its a real thing in genetic engineering now, called CRISPR where we edit a virus to spread DNA changes.

The Rampage thing?
