“Erasure” isn’t about changing characters’ races. It’s about excluding groups of people who aren’t well represented from something that has no reason to erase them. IE: A movie taking place in America/Europe but only showing white people despite it being somewhere that other races would in fact occupy.

I live in nyc and when i go on the subway i see MAYBE 1-3 white people on the train and yet in most movies and shows the subway is ALL or MOSTLY white people. its completely unrealistic and when i watch movies it feels unsettling
