the bowsette thing is fun but its also one of those things where you can feel that it’s hit “internet saturation” and that means you can also feel people just fucking seething at it because it’s popular and even though it’s harmless risque fun that everyone seems to be getting in to there’s someone out there desperately picking it apart trying to find a reason to “cancel” it

you can already see it a little bit, theres a post going around thats like “oh this is horny, so the racists are gonna LOVE it” and that appears to be the angle the people that don’t like it are playing. “this is horny and i don’t want to see it, so i’m just going to publicly denounce it as something only racists like and then wait and hope time makes me correct” 

ive seen terfs get mad at it and claim that its lesbophobic and that bowsette is “lying” to peach despite in all fanart involving bowsette and peach has peach knowing shes bowser with the crown.
