Context: There’s a super difficult lock on a door that the DM is trying to use as a puzzle. We gotta guess the right thing to do
Me (at the beginning of the game): gotta make sure the lock is working or not
Rest of the players: *ignoring me*
–45 or so minutes go by–
Me: Can I just push the door?
DM: Sure. Go ahead.
