why is there such a social stigma against giving money as a birthday or holiday gift?
People think its lazy and that you dont know the person well if you just give cash. That and some people think its just tacky
everyone i know would be thrilled to get money for a gift
I actually never want anything in particular and having money to buy whatever I want when I want it seems more practical than having a gift with a 50/50 chance of liking

and/or most of what I want is clothes and clothes sizing is wonky so who knows if it’ll even fit if I get like a pair of pants as a gift?
money and blankets are the two things that are always right gifts.socks and underpants are also acceptable
