BEST CASE SCENARIO: they divorced because of irreconcilable differences. admittedly it’s hard but it’s a healthy display of divorce and why that can be a good thing

FUNNY CASE SCENARIO: they divorced over something really, really stupid (toriel losing her shit after getting one too many bouquets or something)

WORST CASE SCENARIO: deltarune and undertale have timeline parallels and this is some @mmmmalo level shit where we can’t look at asgore ever again (malo. i love you but i swear to god please don’t take this as an open invitation to scar us all with theory)
