when I was little I remember being mesmerized by all the trinkets and angels that my grandmother had in her cabinets … my kids are gonna have the same thing except it’ll be anime figures

“Ever since I first went to grandma’s house as a kid, I’d ask her about the jar on the top of the shelf. She would always give me a different explanation. Never longer than a sentence or two, and she’d always change the subject right after that. I thought it was funny, and as a kid I would daydream about the jar’s contents

With her passing though, the jar is now mine, and the source of so many childhood laughs now brings me an inexplicable sense of dread.”
