seriously though, in 2020 you need to swallow your fucking pride and vote for the primary democrat even if you dont agree with them. any other vote is only going to increase the chances of another republican taking office. if you didnt learn anything from the last election, then i guess hindsight isnt actually 2020

i dont get how people are like “hmm, the republicans are trying to undermine democracy and stripping away the rights of people as well as spreading hate and violence? well im not gonna vote unless bernie is the democrat primary”

concentrated-sunshine

Imagine admitting years in advance that you just can’t field a decent opponent against a cheeto in wig and having the gall to demand others just surrender their vote to you out of pity.

Good God is this really the state of American democrats?

my priority is putting out the fire. then we can focus on rebuilding. the republicans are by far the biggest threat to democracy and they need to be voted out of office before we vote the democrats out of office in favour for independent parties.. voting independant will only split the votes and result in more republican terms.

concentrated-sunshine

That doesn’t make sense as you’ve explained it…don’t vote indy now but vote indy later, all you’re doing is delaying the inevitable.

You still have the core problem : the Democrat party seems fundamentally incapable of appealing to its own base and is viewed as rife with corruption..demanding people be feudal serfs and just give up their right to vote to their Democrat lords…and I gotta tell you, this message doesn’t seem to be working from what I can see..and in my head can’t work with an informed public.

All you’re doing as I can tell is paving the way from Trump 2020.

my-wandering-world

Please tell me how the republicans are a threat to democracy but democrats aren’t. Because from what I’ve seen so far, the Democrats are just as likely to play dirty if it means their party wins politically.

republicans are the ones who were passing the voter registration laws that made it more difficult for minorities to vote

republicans were the ones who were revoking visas and claiming there was 3 million counts of voter fraud

republicans were the ones who were colluding with russia

republicans are the ones who seem to benefit from voting machine “glitches”

im not saying the dems arent sketchy AF but theyre significantly better than the republicans and voting independant in the current climate is only going to keep the republicans in office.

my-wandering-world

I’m not claiming the republicans are good, I’m asking you to explain to me how the democrats are better. Pointing out the flaws of the republican party isn’t helping with that.

I’m not going to have the Democrat version of Trump in office just because “fuck the republicans”

silver-tongues-blog

the democrats are better because theyre not fucking doing those things.

my-wandering-world

And history has shown Democrats had no problem restricting votes if it kept them in power. To say either party wouldn’t fuck over democracy if it helped them win is bullshit.

Let’s not forget Feinstein had a Chinese mole in her staff, and her connections to China run deep so she’s a bit biased on issues relating to China. They also fucked Bernie Sanders over in support of Hillary in the primaries. Their divisive language of “only our party can fix america” is no different than Trump’s or the Republican party’s message. They outright rejected anyone who may have even sympathized with Trump as someone they wanted in America.

They’ve been unwilling to compromise or talk with the other party for a while now, and some Democrats have been one step away from saying “get rid of the 2nd Amendment”.

I’m not voting for a candidate unless I believe in them. Telling people they have no choice but to vote Democrat isn’t democratic, and it makes people resentful and not want to vote Democrat. At this rate I expect Trump to win again and I hate Trump.

then youre just paving the way for four more years of trump

my-wandering-world

That kind of mentality is exactly why Trump’s going to win. Instead of seriously reevaluating and reforming the party, blame everyone else.

silver-tongues-blog

no i absolutely agree that we need seriosu government reform but first we need to get the worst of the worst out. change is a gradual process and if you try to skip steps thats going to set you back far
