for clarification, i believe what silver means (correct me if i’m wrong) is that vriska’s presence did fix things but purely by the butterfly affect, and the only things she personally actually ended up helping was black terezee. otherwise, the things that got fixed got fixed purely from butterfly ripples.

my guess is that a doomed rose helped new alpha rose not get into alcoholism and that dave met several dead daves and realized that no matter if he fucks up or not, every choice he makes will cause a dead dave so its time to stop worrying about the inevitable. Terezis problem was easily avoided since she never even met aranea post retcon and so she never restored her eyes. vriskagram is just her telling the audience her (very inaccurate) version which also keeps in line with the “no narrator is reliable” theme that homestuck has.
