There have been signs of LGBTQ in cartoons before 

In “Buffalo Gals” of Cow and Chicken, there were lesbian sterotypes. 

In “The Mask” of Courage the Cowardly Dog there was a lesbian bunny and cat couple running away to be together. 

And in Time Squad there are hints that Tuddrussel and Larry 3000 are a gay couple. 

But it was rare. There was not a lot of LGBTQ in cartoons before. 

Now look at show far we’ve come. 

In Adventure Time, Princess Bubblegum and Marceline kissed. 

Ruby and Sapphire are a couple in Steven Universe. 

There’s romance between Asami and Korra in The Legend of Korra.

There are married gay dads in The Loud House.

There were LGBTQ kisses in the crowd in “Just Friends” from Star Vs. the Forces of Evil. 

And Sheriff Blubbs and Deputy Durland are a couple in Gravity Falls. 

Basically, you’ll find a lot more LGBTQ stuff in cartoons now.
