An art based prologue take.
Possibly speaks some for itself, but to reiterate some points from elsewhere:
The Ultimate Dave was specifically stated to include Davepeta, which means splinters that include other people are part of the Ultimate Self.
Which explains why Dirk suddenly posts things that its hard to image Dirk ever saying. (e.g. suddenly being transphobic.)
Then there’s also the repeated mentioning of Dave being the one to eventually kill him, basically begging for it, whihc is a destiny specifically linked to LE.
I actually don’t think that Alt Calliope is a “good” counterpoint, btw. I think she’s dangerous and MORE insidious for her (provably false) claims of lack of bias, and she’s just as quick to use a beloved character as a puppet for her own means (in her case, Jade) not to mention our Callie’s reaction to her.
Anyway, I really, really feel sorry for the True Dirk, the one who wanted desperately NOT to hurt his friends and family, who was terrified of this very outcome.
